Open Access Policy
1. Online Submissions
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the TConnect: Journal of Tourism Connectivity online editorial system using Open Journal Systems (OJS). The journal does not accept manuscript submissions by email or in hard-copy format.
Authors must register and log in to the journal’s OJS platform to submit a manuscript and monitor the status of their submission.

Registration and login are required for online submission and access to the submission tracking system.
2. Submission Preparation Checklist
Before completing a submission, authors are required to confirm that their manuscript complies with the following requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet the essential submission requirements may be returned to the authors for correction before entering the peer-review process.
Originality and Exclusivity
The manuscript has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal. If there are exceptional circumstances, authors must provide a clear explanation to the Editor.
File Format
The main manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. PDF files should not be submitted as the primary manuscript file for the initial review stage.
Formatting and Author Guidelines
The manuscript must comply with the requirements specified in the Author Guidelines, including:
- 5,000–8,000 words;
- Appropriate manuscript structure;
- APA 7th Edition referencing style;
- Academic English;
- Proper formatting of tables and figures; and
- Compliance with the journal’s ethical and research integrity requirements.
Figures, Tables, and Visual Materials
Figures, diagrams, charts, and tables should be clear, readable, and professionally presented. Authors are encouraged to follow the journal’s visual presentation guidelines, including appropriate resolution and avoidance of unnecessary visual complexity.
Raster images should generally be provided at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi where applicable.
Digital and Research Ethics
For studies involving big data, artificial intelligence, digital footprints, social-media data, online platforms, or other digital datasets, authors must include an appropriate statement regarding data privacy, ethical research practices, data protection, and other relevant ethical considerations.
References and DOI Linking
Authors should provide active DOIs and URLs for references whenever they are available. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all bibliographic information is accurate and complete.
3. Ensuring Double-Blind Peer Review
To preserve the integrity of the journal’s double-blind peer review process, authors must ensure that the identity of the authors cannot be determined from the main manuscript.
Separate Title Page
Authors must upload a separate Title Page containing:
- Manuscript title;
- Full names of all authors;
- Institutional affiliations;
- ORCID iDs, where available;
- Corresponding author information; and
- Email address of the corresponding author.
Anonymized Main Manuscript
The main manuscript must not contain:
- Author names;
- Institutional affiliations;
- ORCID iDs;
- Corresponding author details;
- Acknowledgments that identify the authors; or
- Other information that may reveal the authors’ identities.
When referring to their own previously published research, authors should use neutral third-person language where necessary to preserve anonymity during review.
Document Metadata
Authors should remove identifying information from the document’s properties and metadata before submission.
In Microsoft Word, authors can use:
File → Info → Check for Issues → Inspect Document → Document Properties and Personal Information
Authors should remove personal information identified by the document inspection tool before uploading the anonymized manuscript.
4. Privacy Statement
The names, email addresses, ORCID iDs, institutional affiliations, and other personal information entered into the TConnect journal system will be used solely for purposes related to manuscript submission, peer review, editorial management, publication, and communication with authors.
The journal will handle personal information responsibly and will not disclose such information to unrelated third parties except where disclosure is necessary for legitimate journal operations, required by applicable law, or otherwise permitted by the journal’s privacy policies.
By submitting a manuscript, authors acknowledge and consent to the processing of their personal information for the purposes of scholarly publishing and journal administration.
